Men or women with specialist skills/knowledge may be appointed as Advisers or to specific roles to support Guiding in the County, Division or District.
They are encouraged to become members or affiliate members if they are not Guiders, and must support the aims of Girlguiding UK and abide by its policy and rules. Appointments include Advisers for adventurous outdoor activities, the arts, international, PR, IT, recruitment, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, etc. Advisers/Appointment Holders may provide training and/or advice, arrange events to support the Unit programme, and generally encourage Guiders within their specialism.
